Sump Pump Install
Standing water in your crawl space can be a very big problem and can do a lot of harm to your home. The most important function in the design of your home is to keep water out and standing water left in can wreak havoc on the structural integrity and overall health of your home.
Probably the most common method of removing standing water under a home is the installation of a sump pump. A correctly installed system consists of properly sloped trenches that carry the water to an underground basin that the sump pump sits in. When the water fills the basin to a certain point, the pump automatically kicks on and pumps the water out of the crawl space through plumbing pipe that is typically tapped into your underground gutter drainage system or diverted to whatever location away from the home that is desired.
Installing a sump pump drainage system is a big job and a lot of work. It requires some skill in achieving the correct slope and grade to effectively drain the water to the sump basin.
